Foothills Hockey Association

The C470 league is made up of three associations (Foothills, Front Range and Arapahoe).  

In addition, the Girls Select will have a Squirt Team. 

Each level will play 16-18 league games (depending on the age level). League games begin October 11th and end March 15th.

Playoffs details are being finalized, but the Championship game for each age level will be held at the Pepsi Center.  

No Roster changes after December 31st (Goalies are the exception)

No Games/Practice Dates:

November 27-30, 2008 – Thanksgiving weekend
December 22, 2008 - January 2,  2009 – Christmas and New Years
January 16-19, 2009 – MLK Weekend
February 13-16, 2009 – President’s Day weekend

In addition, Foothills holds the Frightfest Tournament October 23-27, 2008 and there is no practice ice that weekend.  Teams will still have games, but they will all be away.

Warm up:  3 minutes*
1st Period: 15 Minutes run-time
2nd Period: 15 Minutes run-time
3rd Period:  12 Minute Stop-Time**

*Warm up clock starts IMMEDIATELY after the Zamboni doors have closed

**In the event of 5+ goal differential in the 3rd period, the clock will go to run-time. 

**Teams must obey the 60-minute curfew allotted.  The clock may go to run-time to respect the curfew

The clock will be stopped when there is an injury, however, the 60-minute curfew must still be honored.

Teams will use Pointstreak this year.  Each team will need to provide at least two volunteers that can run the system. 

It is the “Home Teams” responsibility to find the visiting teams to verify rosters.

It is the “Home Teams” responsibility to run Pointstreak and the Clock.

Each team will provide one person to man his/her penalty box during the game (home and away)

Players must wear their assigned jerseys during games.

Home – Light

Away – Dark.

No double rostering between C470 teams is allowed with the exception of Goalies.  We do allow double rostering with a C470 team and CHSAA team.
